Staines, U.K.—Global IT professionals find vendor white papers useful, though most outside North America struggle to find localized vendor content, according to a new study from IDG Connect, the lead-generation division of International Data Group.
“Global IT Content Survey 2011,” was based on an online survey of 3,217 IT professionals around the world, conducted in June.
It found that on average, 72% of IT professionals surveyed find vendor white papers “useful” or “extremely useful.”
In Asia, 74% of IT pros said they prefer localized vendor content, but 79% said they must labor to find it. In Europe, 50% of IT professionals said they prefer localized vendor content, although 55% had a hard time finding it.
The exception was North America, where 56% of IT professionals said they prefer localized vendor content, but only 33% worked hard to find it.
