Framingham, Mass.--The worldwide server market declined in the second quarter--the sixth straight quarterly decline, according to IDC's Worldwide Quarterly Server Tracker, released Friday. IDC is a division of technology publisher IDG. Worldwide server factory revenues declined 16% to $10.5 billion in the second quarter. Hewlett-Packard's acquisition of Compaq in May allowed it to catch up to IBM in terms of server revenues in the second quarter.
