New York--Global Sources Ltd., a Hong Kong-based b-to-b media company, Monday reported third-quarter revenue of $23.0 million, up from $22.3 million in the same quarter last year. Net income for the third quarter was $2.1 million, more than doubling net income for the third quarter of 2002.
Revenue from China grew to $10.2 million, up 22% from the third quarter of last year.
âWe've been facilitating two-way trade with mainland China for more than 20 years, and have developed an extensive network of representatives and relationships through our more than 900 team members in 43 offices throughout the country,â said Chairman-CEO Merle A. Hinrichs, in a statement.
Global Sources also said that its community of active buyers increased to 398,000, up 8% from a year earlier.
