East Greenbush, N.Y.—Thirty-five percent of industrial marketers plan to increase their marketing budgets this year, according to a report from GlobalSpec, an online hub for industrial buyers and sellers.
GlobalSpec's “Industrial Marketing Trends Survey” was based on an online survey conducted in April that drew 317 marketer respondents in the industrial sector.
They study found that 42% of respondents plan to increase their online marketing spending this year, and 47% spend more than one-third of their total marketing budgets online.
The most-used social media networks for industrial marketers were LinkedIn (73%), Facebook (55%) and Twitter (40%), according to the survey.
However, only 17% of industrial marketers said they are satisfied with their social media efforts, and only 7% have a full-time employee dedicated to social media.
