Goat or Gloat

Company: BT, London Agency: St. Luke's Communications, London Market: CIOs Quick chase: From the theater of the absurd comes this scene where a man in a white lab coat is chucking what appears to be a loaf of bread to a woman positioned precariously high above a business district. There's also a long line of trucks and tractors. We suspect the scene is designed to depict a farm-to-market supply chain. We've learned to suspend disbelief when looking at ads, but this image is just plain silly. The text takes on a more workmanlike tone, but we just can't take it seriously. Chasers choice: Goat

Company: Cisco, San Jose, Calif. Agency: Ogilvy & Mather, Los Angeles Market: CIOs Quick chase: Far from the madding crowd, a man contemplates nature, or perhaps his company's future. He shouldn't get too lost in thought, though, because he's still part of his company's network. Note the handheld device he's clutching. But that's the beauty of a network engineered by Cisco. It goes where you go. "No matter where you wander to find inspiration, the wireless, self-defending networks of Cisco let you access the office anytime, anywhere." It's so natural. Chasers' choice: Gloat
