Goodmail Systems introduces e-mail video application

By Published on .

Mountain View, Calif.—E-mail security company Goodmail Systems has introduced a technology for sending video via e-mail while, at the same time, screening the video messages for bugs and viruses to help ensure delivery through spam and virus filters.

Goodmail’s technology embeds the videos in the e-mails themselves, instead of offering links to Web sites where the videos play. Goodmail says its technology is the first service seeking to ensure delivery of video e-mails by certifying them as virus-free.

Goodmail is pricing the service at $10 per thousand e-mails.
