Google, AmEx launch joint promotion

Mountain View, Calif.—Google, which owns the YouTube video sharing site, and American Express Co., whose AmEx OPEN portal provides services for small businesses, have launched a video contest encouraging businesses to “tell their stories.” The contest is in support of YouTube's My Business Story tool, launched Tuesday, which allows businesses to produce promotional videos via the site, and AmEx's Small Business Saturday promotion, encouraging shoppers to patronize local businesses on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Thirty-six winning entrepreneurs who best demonstrate community support, customer service and innovation will be featured on the YouTube home page.
