Mountain View, Calif.—Google has launched a beta version of search for blogs. The search engine said the service will enable users to search for blog content Web-wide, not just from Google's own blog service, Blogger. "We wanted to create a better way to allow people to find out what's being written in blogs, as it's being created," said Jason Goldman, a Blog Search Team member, in a statement. The company made the announcement in its own blog. The new service will compete with blog search tools from companies such as Blogpulse, Feedster, PubSub and Technorati in its bid to organize the blog world.
