Mountain View, Calif.—Google announced it has acquired GrandCentral Communications. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

GrandCentral provides a service based on VoIP technology that lets users integrate all their existing phone numbers and voice mailboxes into one account that can be accessed from the Web. Users can listen to voicemail online or from any phone.

Google said a limited number of invitations will be available to register for a GrandCentral beta account. Those with a U.S. telephone number can sign up for an invitation at www.grandcentral.com.
