Google continues to lead in search market share

Reston, Va.—ComScore Networks on Monday reported Google continues to lead in market share among Web sites, with 43.1% of all U.S. searches conducted there in April. Yahoo! remained No. 2, with a 28% share.

MSN Search, Time Warner and Ask round out the top five with 12.9%, 6.9% and 5.8% share, respectively.

Google also gained 6.6% market share compared with April of last year. The others slipped in share versus a year ago—Yahoo! is down 2.7%; MSN, 3.2%; Time Warner, 2.1%; and Ask, 0.3%.
