Mountain View, Calif.—Google has entered the increasingly popular daily deals arena made popular by industry leader Groupon, testing its own service for delivering discounted offers from local businesses.

Google Offers was initially rolled out in New York; Portland, Ore.; and the San Francisco Bay area. Users can sign up here.

In December, Google made an offer to buy Groupon for between $5 billion and $6 billion, but Groupon declined the offer and is making plans of its own to go public.
