Google files click fraud suit

Published on .

Mountain View, Calif.—Google has filed a lawsuit against Auctions Expert International, alleging click fraud.

The search company claims the online publisher, which participates in Google’s AdSense contextual advertising program, is inflating traffic to its site in order to benefit from the pay-per-click revenue model.

Google seeks compensatory and punitive damages in the suit, which was filed in Superior Court of Santa Clara County, Calif.
