Google increases share of core searches

Reston, Va.—More than 10 billion searches were conducted in the U.S. in January, according to comScore, which released its monthly qSearch analysis of the search marketplace. Google extended its share of core searches to 58.5%, up slightly from 58.4% in December. Yahoo ranked second with 22.2%, followed by Microsoft (9.8%), AOL (4.9%) and Ask Network (4.5%).
