Mountain View, Calif.—Google announced the debut of Google Mini, an enterprise search appliance to enable small and midsize businesses to access and manage their online data using Google search.

The new product, which costs $4,995, is an integrated hardware and software appliance that indexes content in a company’s intranet or Web site and enables users to search it in the same manner they search at Google.com.

The Google said the Mini requires minimal administration. It can search across more than 220 file types and up to 50,000 documents.
