Google offerings for small business?

In a recent post on the “Small Business Search Marketing” blog, Matt McGee speculated about some recent announcements from Google. In the post, called “Google Dangles Carrots in Front of Small Biz Owners,” McGee describes the offerings: “One is about better visibility on Google Maps; the other is about expanding the availability of product inventory listings in Google's search results.” He speculates that moving forward these may provide strong opportunities for small (and large) businesses looking to target locally.
