Mountain View, Calif.—Google on Wednesday announced its Google Mini enterprise search appliance now has double the search capacity and a lower price tag.

Mini can now search up to 100,000 indexed documents within a company’s intranet or public Web site. It is now priced at $2,995 compared with $4,995 when it debuted in January.

The appliance is currently being used by small and midsize businesses to access and manage information. Customers include Brown Rudnick, a law firm, and The Nation.
