Google retains market share lead in February

New York—Google retained its lead in share of all searches, according to Nielsen//NetRatings, which released its monthly findings on search engine market share. Google garnered 48.5% of all searches conducted in February 2006. Yahoo! garnered 22.5% and MSN accounted for 10.7%. AOL and My Way Search followed with 6.6% and 2.7%, respectively. Among search verticals, image search had the largest increase, growing 91% year over year.
