Google rolls out AdWords Search Funnels to aid conversion attribution

Mountain View, Calif.—Google has introduced a new feature to its paid-search reporting that identifies the various keywords that lead to a conversion, rather than only the final keyword selection.

Called AdWords Search Funnels, the tool first notes a particular paid-search click-through, then links that activity to later, related searches. If the advertiser's search ad is clicked again within 30 days, a conversion is logged and a Search Funnel report is generated to show keyword attribution.

Only advertisers that employ the AdWords conversion tracking code will see Search Funnel tracking reports, according to Google.
