Google, Yahoo! outpace overall search growth

New York—Searches on Google and Yahoo! grew 41% and 47%, respectively, in March, compared with the year-earlier period, according to Internet media research company Nielsen//NetRatings. The overall search growth rate was 36%. Google accounted for 49% of all searches in March and Yahoo! for 22%. MSN was third at 11%.
