Government shutdown prompts rescheduling of GCN event

Vienna, Va.—1105 Media's GCN has delayed its 26th Annual Awards Gala because of the federal government shutdown. The event, originally scheduled for Wednesday, has been rescheduled for Nov. 19. The GCN brand (formerly Government Computer News) serves public-sector IT professionals. This year's gala will honor 15 IT projects by teams from various government agencies, including the departments of agriculture, defense, homeland security and treasury, as well as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
