Grainger names new leaders in Canada, China

Chicago—Industrial distributor Grainger announced that Sean O’Brien has been named president, Acklands-Grainger, the company’s Canadian subsidiary.

The Canadian unit had revenue of $728 million in 2008 and has 159 branches, five distribution centers and 2,300 employees. O’Brien succeeds Court D. Carruthers, who became president of Grainger International in March.

Grainger also announced that Jeff Yin has been named VP-general manager of Grainger China, a $10 million business based in Shanghai.
