Birmingham, Ala.—Grand View Media Group said Friday that it has acquired NTP Media. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
NTP has three publishing groups, all of which serve audiences in the buildings and facility maintenance and management markets. The groups are: the CM B2B Trade group, which includes CM/Cleaning & Maintenance Management, CM/Cleanfax, three Web sites, an e-newsletter and the Cleaning Management Institute; the Professional Car Care B2B Trade Group, which includes Professional Car Washing & Detailing, an e-newsletter and related Web site; and the WaterTech B2B Trade Group, which includes Water Technology, an e-newsletter and Web site.
Grand View General Manager Barry Lovette said the company plans to leave all NTP operations and staff in their current location in Latham, N.Y.
NTP Media was founded in 1981 by Humphrey and Susan Tyler, who plan to retire.
"My immediate plans are to stay on with Grand View on a part-time basis to assure a smooth transition to the new management," said Humphrey Tyler, "and I am looking forward to the possibility of being able to assist other b-to-b publishers in finding ways to take advantage of the many opportunities that are opening up in development of new information products in new b-to-b channels."
