Farrar became president of Nielsen Business Media in 2007 after a 20-year career at Bill Communications, VNU and Nielsen. He has presided over Nielsen's move to digital that has coincided with drops in print advertising pages. The company has cut jobs at many publications and closed a handful of others, including Commercial Property Executive, Multi-Housing News and Radio & Records.
