GXS debuts chemical-industry software

Gaithersburg, Md.--B-to-b e-commerce company GE Global eXchange Services (GXS) said it has developed a software application that allows chemical industry manufacturers to exchange business documents effectively. The application complies with new standards for buying, selling and delivering chemicals, and complies with the Chemical Industry Data Exchange (CIDX) guidelines for chemical delivery. The new applications will allow GXS customers to participate in Internet trading without significantly reconfiguring their existing software systems, GXS said.
