Palm Beach, Fla.—B-to-b agency gyro, New York, announced that Elaine Chao has been named an adviser to its @Work State of Mind research project. The announcement was made today at the Forbes CMO Summit in Palm Beach, Fla. Chao, who served as U.S. Labor Secretary between 2000 and 2009 under former President George W. Bush, will advise gyro on the venture. The @Work State of Mind project is a collaborative research initiative introduced by gyro earlier this year that explores the shifting work/life balance and involves individuals employed in business, government, academia and the arts. “The blurring of work and home life boundaries has profound implications for marketers, and we are honored that Secretary Elaine Chao, America's longest-serving Secretary of Labor since World War II, has agreed to join our project to share her unique understanding of the changing dynamics [of] work life in the 21st century,” said Christoph Becker, CEO-chief creative officer at gyro, in a statement.
