Palo Alto, Calif.-Hewlett-Packard Co. said it is realigning the company into two independent companies--one focused on the measurement business and the other focused on the computing and imaging business. ``We are taking this action to sharpen the strategic focus of our businesses, improve their agility and increase their responsiveness to customers and partners,'' said Lewis Platt, chairman, president and chief executive officer of the company.
