Hampton Hotels

Published on .

The Chasers have a theory that a spot airing during a sports event should be built to be understood even with the sound off—for all the people watching in bars and restaurants. This Hampton Hotels ad, which has some fancy camerawork and is aimed at business travelers, uses phrases superimposed over the visuals—“Free wifi,” “clean and fresh bed” and “free hot breakfast”—so the message is lost on no one. For good measure, the “free wifi” and “free hot breakfast” are repeated at the end of the ad, because, truly, what else does a business traveler want from a hotel? Rating: 3 stars
