Hanley Wood buys two commercial construction magazines

Washington, D.C.—Hanley Wood has purchased the assets of privately held Spiderweb Publishing. Durham, N.C.-based Spiderweb publishes commercial construction titles Eco-Structure (27,500 circ.) and Metalmag (30,600 circ).

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Eco-Structure, which debuted in 2003, targets architects, interior designers, building owners and manufacturers/suppliers working in environmental buildings. Metalmag, launched in 2000, targets metal roofing and building contractors, architects, engineers, manufacturers, building owners and developers.

Each title is published eight times a year.

The magazines will become part of Hanley Wood’s Commercial Design Group, which includes Architect, Architectural Lighting and Product Spec Guide.
