Hanley Wood taps Schmidt to lead e-media group

Washington, D.C.—Hanley Wood Business Media has named Andreas Schmidt, former VP-marketing for AOL, to head up its reorganized electronic media group. Schmidt will be responsible for Hanley Wood's b-to-b magazine Web sites, newsletters and products such as ebuild, job boards and contractor clubs. He will also be in charge of the consumer house plans business, which includes two e-commerce Web sites, eplans.com and dreamhomesource.com. Prior to AOL, Schmidt was VP-interactive marketing at Barnes & Noble.com.
