Harris buys Yankelovich

Rochester, N.Y.--Harris Interactive Inc., an online market research firm, has bought Yankelovich Customer Research, a division of Norwalk, Conn.-based Yankelovich Inc., a branding and consulting company. The deal gives Harris greater depth in pharmaceutical company research, a lucrative field in which Yankelovich Customer Research specializes. Yankelovich Customer Research is expected to contribute some $15 million in revenues to Harris' bottom line by the end of 2001. Financial terms of the deal other financial terms were not disclosed.
