Harris survey finds online presence helps women-owned small businesses

Rochester, N.Y.--A survey conducted by Harris Interactive for Yahoo! Small Business found that having an online presence helped small businesses run by women. Women small-business owners participating in the study said having an online presence enhanced their businesses in the following areas: 94% said it increased visibility; 90% said it enhanced their ability to reach new customers; and 82% said it enhanced their ability to be more competitive.
