San Antonio-Direct marketing giant Harte-Hanks Inc. has acquired Information Resource Group, a b-to-b software developer. Detroit-based Information Resource Group, which focuses on technology and communications clients, also develops b-to-b databases. The acquisition will increase Harte-Hanks' ability to deliver customer relationship management software and services to high-tech customers, an increasingly important function for integrated direct marketing agencies. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition comes about one year after Harte-Hanks' purchase of ZD Market Intelligence, another deal that strengthened its CRM capabilities.
