San Antonio--Harte-Hanks Inc. and San Mateo, Calif.-based E.piphany Inc. have extended their strategic direct marketing alliance to include application service provider initiatives. Harte-Hanks will become an ASP and reseller of E.piphany products. Harte-Hanks will also develop E.piphany-based, Harte-Hanks branded CRM software. The companies began their alliance in 1999, and have since worked together to develop direct marketing projects for b-to-b clients including The Financial Times
and Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc. Their ongoing pact underscores a trend among direct marketers: working together to develop ASP and CRM technologies instead of going it alone.
