DMNews (50,000 circ.) was launched in 1979 by Adrian Courtenay, who has been owner and CEO since the magazineâ€™s inception. In addition to the weekly print magazine, there is a Web site, and six e-mail newsletters.
The sale also includes the rights to Courtenayâ€™s iMarketing News, which was published from 1999 through 2002.
Haymarket Media, the U.S. subsidiary of U.K.-based Haymarket Media Group, publishes a dozen magazines, including PRWeek and Medical Marketing & Media. Haymarket titles in the U.K. include Direct Response, Marketing and Marketing Direct.
Media investment bank Jordan, Edmiston Group represented Courtenay Communications in the transaction.
