Hollywood, Calif.--Creative Planet said an investment group that includes former HBO chairman Michael Fuchs has made a $25 million investment, adding on to an investor roster that reads like a who's who of Hollywood. Motion Picture Association Chairman Jack Valenti, former MCA chief executive Sid Sheinberg, former Paramount and MGM chairman Frank Mancuso and Fox TV programmer Sandy Climan have already forked over capital in exchange for equity. Creative Planet will use the money to roll out additional targeted sites, beef up commerce capabilities and facilitate communications among companies. Creative Planet, which has launched four new sites in three months targeted at such professions as director, cinematographer and digital editor, has 20 others on the drawing boards. It will launch in the next four weeks a branding campaign, designed by Ring Circus, in such publications as Variety and Hollywood Reporter.
