Heron resigns as editor of 'Wired'

New York--Condé Nast Publications Ltd. said Katrina Heron has resigned as editor of Wired. No successor has been named. Heron joined Wired in 1997, a year before it was acquired by Condé Nast, a unit of Advance Publications Inc. During her tenure, Heron expanded Wired's coverage of mainstream economic issues, in addition to the magazine's historic focus on high technology. Through the first two months of the year, Wired's ad pages were down 11.7% compared with the same period last year.
