Hewlett-Packard, PWC in aviation industry e-business deal

Published on .

Palo Alto, Calif.--Seven months after it called off its acquisition of PricewaterhouseCoopers L.L.P., Hewlett-Packard Co. announced that it and the consultancy will jointly develop and market e-business software for clients in the aviation industry, a $15 billion market. The companies will target airlines and airports, and will launch an Aviation Solution Center to develop the software and market it to potential customers. HP will develop most of the software and New York-based PWC's aviation consulting team will do most of the advisory work, on subjects including real-time portals aimed at airline crew members.
