Hewlett-Packard, PWC in collaborative software deal

Palo Alto, Calif.--Hewlett-Packard Co. and PricewaterhouseCoopers L.L.P. have entered a global alliance to develop and market collaborative value chain software. HP will do much of the development work while PWC will concentrate on consulting on the software's use. The companies will conduct joint marketing initiatives. HP called off its planned--and widely panned--$18 billion acquisition of New York-based PWC in November 2000.
