Erlanger, Ky.--Highline Media announced Thursday that its data affiliate, Highline Data, has acquired several insurance and banking data assets from Thomson Media, a division of Thomson Corp.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Among the products Highline acquired from Thomson are data products U.S. Insurance, Insurance Analyst and Insurance Analyst Pro, and several newsletters including "Insurance Chronicle" and "Daily Insurance Reporter."

The banking products include BankSource and BankSearch, which deliver data from federal regulatory authorities.

The products were marketed under the brand names Thomson Financial Insurance Solutions and Sheshunoff Information Services.

Highline Media, which is headed by Andrew L. Goodenough, president-CEO, made its first acquisition last year when it purchased National Underwriter Co.
