Hill Holliday acquires Erwin-Penland

Boston--Ad agency Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos has acquired Erwin-Penland, a Greenville, S.C., agency, for an undisclosed price.

Erwin-Penland’s clients include Verizon Wireless, Michelin North America and BMW.

Under the new agency structure, Hill Holliday’s New York office will handle Verizon Wireless’ retail advertising for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, and Erwin-Penland will handle Verizon Wireless’ retail advertising in the South and Southeast regions.

The acquired agency will continue to operate as Erwin-Penland under the direction of agency principals Joe Erwin, Gretchen Erwin and Allen Bosworth.

All of the firm's employees and clients will remain on board.
