Hill, Holliday to merge with Golberg Moser

The Interpublic Group of Cos., New York, announced Wednesday that it has merged its Boston-based Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos agency with its San Francisco-based Goldberg Moser O'Neill. The new agency, which will be renamed GMO/Hill, Holliday, will have combined billings of more than $1.2 billion and a client list that includes such b-to-b companies as Cisco Systems, Sybase, Micronpc.com, Adero, Fatbrain.com, Broadwing and Placeware. Jack Connors Jr., chairman-CEO of Hill, Holliday, will serve as CEO of the new entity, and Fred Goldberg, chairman-CEO of GMO, will become chairman in accordance with his plan to reduce his day-to-day involvement in the business by the end of the year.
