HiveFire survey finds almost half of marketers have content curation programs

Cambridge, Mass.—Almost half of marketers (48.0%) now have a content curation program in place to find, organize and share online content, according to a survey by content marketing company HiveFire.

The study, “Content Curation Adoption Survey 2011,” was based on an online survey of 150 marketers conducted in February.

It found that 42.0% of marketers are familiar with content curation but do not have a strategy in place; only 10.0% of marketers are not familiar with content curation.

For those that do have a content curation program, the primary objectives include establishing thought leadership (78.9%); elevating brand visibility (76.1%); generating leads (60.6%); and improving search engine optimization (47.9%).
