The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong is considering posting all announcements by publicly traded companies on its Web site, according to published reports. The move would be a marked departure for the exchange, Southeast Asia's largest, and home to a slew of Asian b-to-b companies. Typically, company announcements are listed in paid ads in major Asian business publications such as The Asian Wall Street Journal
and The South China Morning Post.
Institutional investors have recently begun clamoring for such information to be disseminated over the Internet.
