New York—News Communications has reportedly acquired The Hollywood Reporter and other publications from Nielsen Business Media, according to The Wrap, an online publication.

News Communications President-CEO James Finkelstein did not immediately respond to a request for comment. A spokesperson for Nielsen Co., Nielsen Business Media’s parent company, said, “We have a longstanding policy not to respond to rumors or speculation.”

News Communications owns Marquis Who’s Who and Capitol Hill Publishing, which publishes The Hill. In addition to The Hollywood Reporter, the report said that Nielsen titles Billboard, Adweek, Brandweek and Mediaweek were being sold.
