Palo Alto, Calif.—This month, Hewlett-Packard Co. debuts “HP Courtside ’07, a community Web site in partnership with Yahoo, and “I Want an HP TV,” a viral campaign leveraging user-generated content.

The partnership with Yahoo (www.sports.yahoo.com/hpcourtside) was developed as part of HP’s “PC Is Personal Again” campaign. It uses HP technology to help sports fans connect with their favorite teams and personalize their tournament experience during the NCAA basketball tournament.

The “I Want an HP TV” campaign will feature user-generated online videos in a contest for an HP MediaSmart TV.

Beginning March 21, users can log on to an HP site and create short videos about why they should receive an HP MediaSmart TV. The videos will be posted on YouTube for 60 days, and visitors to the HP Web site will vote on the best video. HP will showcase the top 10 videos on the site and a winner will be announced the week of May 21.
