Palo Alto, Calif.—Hewlett-Packard Co. has named BBDO Worldwide, New York, agency of record for its PC business, following a review. Its previous ad agency was Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco.
BBDO will lead the creation of global advertising for HP's consumer and commercial PC lines of business, and will work with regional agencies on translation and implementation of local campaigns. HP is currently AOR for HP's global marketing, and had been AOR for the Imaging Printing Group, which was merged with HP's personal systems group in March. Under the new relationship, BBDO will also serve as AOR for the combined printing and personal systems group. The budget was undisclosed.
