HP pushes portal question

Published on .

Hewlett-Packard Co. on Wednesday announced a major new push in services and software for b-to-b trading hubs. HP, Palo Alto, Calif., said its HP e-Services.Solutions unit has partnered with such software vendors as BroadVision Inc. and Moai Technologies Inc. to provide a single integrated software and services package that allows companies to develop b-to-b supply chain reporting and e-commerce capabilities in as little as three weeks. The move is significant because most b-to-b projects require companies to go to many different vendors to integrate with existing systems, distribute Internet content, deliver auctions to customers or other advance capabilities. HP also introduced the first in a series of Internet service portals it will provide to companies unable or unwilling to create their own e-commerce platform.
