Hulu logs record month of video ad views

Reston, Va.—Streaming video site Hulu served 1.76 billion video ads in March, a record for the company which leads all sites in video ad volume, according to a report by Internet marketing research company comScore. Google sites, led by its YouTube division, offered 1.27 billion ads for March, with BrightRoll Video Network serving 953 million ads and Adap.tv 892 million, according to comScore. As for volume of viewers, Google led with 146.1 million unique video viewers during March, followed by Yahoo sites at 60.6 million, music video channel VEVO with 51.3 million and Facebook with 45.1 million. And Google video viewers were most engaged, watching an average of 7.1 hours apiece in March, with Hulu viewers averaging 4.6 hours during the month.
