PC World, Office Depot enter into alliance

Published on .

San Francisco -- International Data Group's PC World and Office Depot announced an extensive alliance Tuesday that begins with the magazine's April issue. Office Depot will use excerpted PC World editorial to create point-of-purchase displays to be positioned next to reviewed products carried by the retailers. The magazine will become the only computer publication to run Office Depot's ``Buyer's Guide,'' a 12-page advertising insert. And beginning with the magazine's May issue, PC World will become the only publication to be distributed in Office Depot's more than 680 retail stores in the U.S.
