i2 wins three auto deals

Dallas--Already winning its share of e-marketplace deals with partners Ariba Inc. and IBM Corp., i2 Technologies Wednesday disclosed new b-to-b deals with three of the world's largest automakers. DaimlerChrysler North America will work with i2 as part of its new ``FastCar'' program, an e-commerce initiative to connect design, engineering, manufacturing, procurement and other activities. Toyota Motor Sales USA will use i2's software to manage inventory for its accessories and replacement parts business. And Volkswagen AG has tapped i2 to help build its supplier e-marketplace.
